Open Enrollment Coming Soon: March 2nd to March 27, 2020
Open Enrollment is just around the corner. Beginning March 2, 2020 after 8 am, we will be accepting applications via our online enrollment platform, SchoolMint. For those families adding to their Wolf Pack, please be sure to indicate that your new enrollee is a sibling and list the current wolf cub where requested. This will allow us to give you top priority during any lottery processes that might be necessary.
Current Cornerstone families registered in SchoolMint can find our online enrollment platform at https://accelschools.schoolmint.net/signin. Families new to the SchoolMint system may go to https://accelschools.schoolmint.net/signup to create an account and enroll their student(s) for the upcoming 2020-21 school year. All incoming Kindergarten cub must be five(5) by September 30, 2020 to be eligible for enrollment. Cornerstone Academy does not allow admission of any student that is not 5 by this date. There will be mandatory Kindergarten Assessments held on May 5 and 6, 2020. Additional information will be sent regarding the assessment times and process with your formal acceptance letter.
Upon submission, all applications are reviewed for required information and documentation. You will be contacted via email and/or text, whichever option(s) you select via SchoolMint, if additional information or documents are needed. In order to apply for Kindergarten, all applicant submissions must include:
- proof of identity for student
- proof of residency
- photo ID for parent or guardian
Those applying for grades 1-11 will also have:
- current grade card
- most recent assessment scores
We also require the following, if applicable:
- custody agreements or pertinent court documents
- Behavior Intervention Plans
- Specialized Education Plans (IEP/ETR, 504, ALP, etc)
Acceptable forms of documentation and further details for each may be found in SchoolMint when enrolling your student. Please note: all enrollment correspondence is send to the email and/or text number you list when you create your SchoolMint account. Please be sure to check these frequently for important information.
Our Open Enrollment period ends on March 27, 2020 at 4:00pm. All applicants who fully apply by this deadline will be considered for enrollment and eligible for any lottery processes that are deemed necessary. Please note: lotteries are held on a grade by grade basis and are only enacted if we have more applicants than spots available in a specific grade. Lotteries will be electronically run on April 15, 2020 at 9:00 am. All applicants that are accepted will receive an offer of registration via their registered email address by April 30, 2020. Any other openings after this time are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
