Dear Community,

Welcome to Cornerstone Academy (CA). CA is a learning community which values high expectations for both academics and behavior. Cornerstone Academy staff embraces students, families, and communities to build and develop well-rounded individuals who are independent critical thinkers and intrinsically motivated to be life-long learners. We believe that all children can learn as we seek to make a difference in the lives of our students.

The teachers and staff at CA are committed to providing a quality education for all students in a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment. We are committed to ensuring that each child reaches his/her full potential.

Currently, Cornerstone has a student population of approximately 1,000 students in grades K-6 at our Walnut Street (Main) campus and grades 7-12 at our West Campus Road (High School) campus. CA is staffed with 70 certified members of the teaching staff and 20 classified/support staff. In addition to core academic subjects, students have the benefit of art, music, physical education, and computer science classes. Special services available to students include: intervention services, support for English Language Learners, literacy and mathematics support. School hours are 7:55 am – 3:30 pm for Grades K-6 and 7:45 am – 3:15 pm for Grades 7-12, Monday through Friday.

We encourage all parents/guardians to maintain regular communications with their child’s teachers and be actively involved in the school community.
